Matt Weston

Matt leads Spacemakers, a regeneration group based in Brighton and has extensive experience working in the built environment. Through Spacemakers, he has produced new cultural infrastructure and interventions across the country, including the internationally-recognised regeneration of Brixton Village. He has supported the GLA on major regeneration projects for several years, and has extensive experience working with authorities, developers and directly with local communities.

London Borough of Barking & Dagenham

Matt took on the role of Strategy Lead for Becontree, London Borough of Barking & Dagenham’s four-square-mile council estate, the largest in the country. He led the development of a strategy focusing on the future of Becontree, putting residents in charge and setting out a series of interventions over the next 10 to 20 years.
