Raul Bielsa Perez

Prior to joining Public Practice, Raúl was an urban designer with an interest in global urban and territorial transformation and a focus on urban research, interactive cartographies, policies and landscape. At Prior + Partners he was involved in projects in the UK and the US focusing on strategic visions, urban frameworks, masterplanning and urban and landscape design.

St Albans City & District Council

As part of the fourth cohort of Public Practice as Urban Designer at St Albans City & District Council, Raúl provided specialist urban design expertise and capacity on the development briefing, masterplanning and detailed design guidance for a series of major urban extensions, including Hemel Garden Communities. His work involved negotiating with landowners, developers and professional teams to achieve improved design outcomes, as well as facilitating and contributing to design review and community consultation.
