About
Richard has a unique technical skillset that lies at the intersection of urban planning, civil engineering, and environmental science. Before joining the Spring Cohort 2022, he worked on projects in various geographies – from Western to Eastern Canada, the Arctic, Central America, Europe, and Japan – offering him a distinctive perspective on urban issues. As a licensed Professional Civil Engineer, Richard successfully managed a portfolio of 35+ real estate and infrastructure development projects totalling $30 million. As a part-time student at the University of Oxford, Richard undertook a Sustainable Urban Development masters program, where he intends to apply his education from academia to the public sector and vice versa.
