Senior Conservation and Design Officer
About
Natasha is a designer with a background in architecture. She has extensive experience in private architectural practices, specialising in refurbishing, altering, and restoring existing buildings, including Grade II Listed structures.
She has worked closely with clients from feasibility to technical design, obtaining planning permission and Listed Building Consents in England, Scotland, and Wales.
Before joining the Autumn Cohort 2023t, Natasha completed an MA in Urban Design and Planning, where her thesis explored youth-led street design. As part of this research, she engaged with local school children through co-design workshops, aiming to empower and involve them in shaping their own communities.

West Berkshire Council
As part of our Autumn Cohort 2023, Natasha worked closely with various teams within the Planning Service to manage changes to West Berkshire’s historic environment.
She provided expert conservation and design advice to Development Management colleagues on listed building consent and planning applications, including significant developments within conservation areas. Natasha collaborated with applicants and stakeholders to help restore historic buildings and advised Planning Policy colleagues on Neighbourhood Development Plans and the Local Plan Review. She also guided residents and businesses on retrofitting historic properties and worked with the Planning Enforcement team to support the repair of heritage assets. Natasha also played a key role in delivering a Conservation Area Appraisal, working with colleagues, stakeholders, and consultants.
