About
Matthew is an urban planner committed to making urban landscapes more open, accessible, and equitable, focusing on sustainable transport and development.
As Transport Planner at Southwark Council before joining the Spring Cohort 2022, he led partnerships with stakeholders. He delivered the docked cycle hire scheme expansion, creating immediate benefits for local communities. Matthew has experience in contributing to design codes, spatial planning and policy development, and community engagement. As part of the Liveable Neighbourhoods programme, he led transport planning projects and the Movement Plan for the regeneration of the Old Kent Road.
