About

Sarah is a multi-disciplinary architectural designer and researcher, holding a master's degree in architecture. Her career spans roles at acclaimed architectural practices and institutions, including Counterspace, the African Futures Institute, and Adjaye Associates. Recently, she contributed to the 18th International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia under curator Prof Lesley Lokko OBE.

Her portfolio encompasses mixed-use buildings, affordable housing, urban regeneration projects, cultural installations, pavilions and exhibitions. She also taught at the Graduate School of Architecture in Johannesburg, guiding MArch students. Born in South Africa, her global experience informs her interdisciplinary approach, having worked across multiple geographies, scales and typologies. Her expertise lies in developing critical research and design proposals emphasising inclusivity and responding to local needs. Interested in racial and spatial justice, she is passionate about using urban strategy, placemaking, and collaborative processes to create accessible and enjoyable places.
