Autumn Cohort 2023
East Riding of Yorkshire Council
As part of our Autumn Cohort 2023, Mark worked as an Urban Design Officer at East Riding of Yorkshire Council. He supported the Design Team within Development Management in producing an authority-wide Design Code, which would serve as a key supplementary planning document alongside the updated Local Plan.
Mark's role involved leading workshops with officers to gather feedback on the Consultation Draft, implementing improvements to the Code's presentation and functionality, and coordinating illustrators to enhance the visual elements. He was also responsible for drafting tender briefs, selecting illustrators, and compiling the finalised content for the Code's adoption version.
