Introduction

Demystifying the procurement process in England, from designing the invitation to tender to contract award.

This CPD offers an overview of how local government in England manages planning applications. Designed specifically for architects and other built environment professionals, it demystifies the planning process, providing insights into the procedures and key considerations that influence planning decisions.

Participants will gain a greater understanding of the public procurement regulations and insights into how officers approach managing and assessing tenders. The session will cover different procurement routes, such as competitive tendering and frameworks, and will highlight how participants can positively navigate the process.

Format

The CPD will be hosted live, online via Zoom and will last 90 minutes. There will be a short break during the session and live captions available throughout.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions through the Q&A function and can take part in poll questions as optional. Some very short readings and additional links will be shared with participants at the end of the session after completing a feedback form.
