Participants will explore the role of local authorities in managing development proposals, from pre-application advice to the final decision-making stage, including consultation processes and the role of statutory consultees. It will highlight common challenges and valuable perspectives for those who interact with the planning system.

Format

The CPD will be hosted live, online via Zoom and will last 90 minutes. There will be a short break during the session and live captions available throughout.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions through the Q&A function and can take part in poll questions as optional. Some very short readings and additional links will be shared with participants at the end of the session after completing a feedback form.
