Funders
How we are funded
To improve the quality, equality and sustainability of places in practice, we must engage with different sectors involved in shaping the built environment.
Grant providers
Public Practice has successfully secured several grants from public sector organisations to help us set up and develop as a not-for-profit organisation.
The Greater London Authority has provided grants totalling over £200,000 during our first five years of setting up.
In February 2022, Public Practice was successfully awarded a grant from Homes England to enable the organisation to scale our Associate Placement Programme. The following year, in January 2023, we received a significant funding boost from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities.

Our Partners & Supporters
All Partner and Supporter income comes without restriction, meaning they have no say in how Public Practice spends their contributions.
We currently have two partnership tiers to reflect the two donation levels.
The funding provided by Partners and Supporters enables us to grow our impact and to remain affordable. For example, our Associate Programme allows us to charge our services at an affordable rate for local authorities and provide a free course for our candidates. It also enables us to invest in attracting people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences to our programme.
Our Partners provide strategic feedback on Public Practice's activities, collaborate on external communications, attend events, and receive public acknowledgement of their support.
