Introduction

Demystifying the procurement process in England, from designing the invitation to tender to contract award.

This 90-minute online CPD provides a focused exploration of how local government in England procures built environment consultants. Tailored for architects and other professionals within the built environment sector, this session demystifies the procurement process, from initial tendering to contract award.

Participants will gain a greater understanding of public procurement regulations and gain insights into how officers approach managing and assessing tenders. The session will cover different procurement routes, such as competitive tendering and frameworks, and will highlight how participants can positively navigate the process.

Format and Accessibillity

The CPD will be hosted live, online via Zoom and will last 90 minutes. There will be a short break during the session and live captions available throughout.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions through the Q&A function and can optionally participate in poll questions. At the end of the session, after completing a feedback form, we will share a written summary of the session with some further reading links.
